Straight answers to common questions

Plain-language answers to the questions homeowners ask us most. Missing one? Ask us.

Yes, within realistic limits. Security film holds glass together on impact so it resists shattering. An intruder who breaks the pane can't reach through; the glass stays in place, and beating it costs time and noise an intruder can't afford. Film works best as the strongest layer in a sensible home-security setup.

Regular tint handles heat, glare, and privacy. It's thin and isn't built for impact. Security film is a thicker, engineered safety film made to keep glass intact when something strikes it. Some films offer both benefits, but the security performance comes from how the film is constructed and installed, not from how dark it looks. During your assessment we'll explain the difference for your specific windows.

Cost depends on how many panes you treat, their size and shape, and the options you choose, so we quote each home rather than quoting one flat number. Your free assessment includes a clear written estimate with no obligation.

It's a well-established product. Commercial, government, and high-end residential properties have used it for years; it gets less attention for everyday homes. Part of our job is to explain it clearly so you can decide for yourself. You'll understand exactly what you're buying before you commit.

Four steps. First, you request a free assessment. Second, we visit, review your glass, and recommend what's worth doing. Third, we install your film cleanly and precisely. Fourth, we walk you through the result and your warranty. Most homes move quickly, and we respect your space throughout.

It depends on how many openings you treat, though we finish many residential jobs in a single visit. You'll get a realistic time estimate with your quote so you can plan your day.

Of course, and we encourage it. Home security is a household decision. Your written assessment is yours to keep and share, and we don't use expiry dates or pressure tactics. Take the time you need.

Most homeowners choose optically clear film, which looks like ordinary glass once installed. If you also want added privacy or glare reduction, we can talk through the options. The goal is protection you barely notice day to day.

A workmanship warranty backs our installations, and quality films carry their own manufacturer warranties. You get the exact terms in writing before you commit, so there are no surprises.

Most, but not all. Performance depends on the glass type, the frame, and how the two connect. That's what the on-site assessment is for. We show you where film makes the most sense and where it doesn't, so you only invest where it counts.

Security film changes the property, so renters should get the owner's permission first. If you own the home, or your landlord has signed off, we're glad to help. We also serve commercial and multi-unit properties.
